Description

This lesson trains the complete workflow for loading baggage into the aircraft cargo hold using the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor. Trainees start the system, set the correct belt speed, and receive and stow incoming baggage using the height adjustment — before stopping and fully retracting the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor. The training emphasizes keeping pace with the belt to prevent baggage from accumulating and falling off the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor.

Lesson Overview

  1. 1Start the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor and set the correct belt speed
  2. 2Receive and stow incoming baggage at ground-level positions
  3. 3Raise the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor to load baggage at elevated positions
  4. 4Stop and fully retract the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor to transport position

Skills Acquired

  • Control Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor belt speed to match loading conditions
  • Maintain loading pace to prevent baggage from accumulating on the belt
  • Apply the height adjustment to reach and load baggage at different heights inside the cargo hold
  • Execute shutdown and retraction of the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor after loading operations

Lesson Procedure

  • The trainee starts kneeling inside the cargo hold, facing the extended Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor.
  • The trainee starts the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor and reduces belt speed.
  • Baggage arrives on the belt, the trainee slides each off the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor and stows them inside the hold.
  • The next baggage pieces must be placed on top of the other baggage pieces. For that, the trainee raises the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor to an intermediate height.
  • Then he receives three baggage pieces from the belt and loads them on top of the existing baggage.
  • The trainee lowers the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor back to its original position, to retract it.
  • The trainee stops the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor, and pushes the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor across the cargo hold until fully retracted.

Safety Scenarios & Learnings

Learning Outcome

Baggage accumulates and falls off the Power Stow Rollertrack Conveyor; reinforces that pace with the belt must be maintained throughout loading.
